AS Dirinon aims to practice football in all its forms and the annual organization of an international football tournament, allowing the creation of relationships of friendship, solidarity and cultural openness to the world. The Dirinon international tournament is an annual event hosted by the town's football club called Association Sportive de Dirinon. The ASD has existed since 1968 and has been organizing this event since 1995 at the Olivier Kerdraon sports complex. The notoriety of this tournament is strong locally (Finistère) but it goes well beyond regional and even international borders. The international tournament brings together over two days (Pentecost weekend) nearly a thousand players aged 11 to 13, their staff of educators, parents, volunteers and numerous spectators. It is estimated that around 7,000 people attended the event. The event is prepared by a team of volunteer organizers who meet all year round within a dedicated section belonging to the club's Board of Directors.
